Kapulaga adalah tanaman rumpun yang tumbuh subur di bawah naungan (50–70% shade), dataran rendah-menengah (200–700 mdpl), dengan curah hujan 2.500–4.000 mm/tahun. Pohon mulai berbuah 2–3 tahun setelah tanam dan produktif hingga 10–15 tahun. Pod dipanen saat sudah mencapai ukuran maksimal namun belum membuka — kalau terlalu matang, pod akan pecah dan kualitas turun. Pasca panen: pod dijemur ke moisture ≤12% (4–7 hari kering matahari), disortir berdasarkan ukuran dan integritas pod, lalu dikemas vacuum atau dalam karung PP food-grade.
Cardamom is a clumping plant that thrives under shade (50–70% canopy cover), in low-to-mid elevations (200–700 m above sea level), with 2,500–4,000 mm annual rainfall. Plants begin fruiting 2–3 years after planting and remain productive for 10–15 years. Pods are harvested when fully mature but not yet split — over-ripe pods crack open and lose quality. Post-harvest: sun-dried to ≤12% moisture (4–7 days), sorted by size and pod integrity, then vacuum-packed or filled in food-grade PP bags.
